Large format 3D Film Festival
The free (to registered attendees) IMAX film festival will be Wednesday July 13th
The planned films will be:
Aliens of the Deep
Ocean Wonderland 3D
NASCAR 3D
A Better Mousetrap
The convention presentation will be held on Wednesday, July 13, from
10am to 1pm at the
IMAX Cinemark 17, 11819 Webb Chapel Rd. Dallas, TX
Transportation will be provided if you have indicated that you will need it on
your registration form.
While there have been Large Format festivals before, this
event marks the first one to be exclusively in 3-D.
The short film A Better Mousetrap will be having its public premiere at
the Festival and it is the only IMAX 3-D film created entirely by members of the
NSA. Written, rendered and directed by Ron Labbe, with 6 channel sound by Jon
Golden and produced by Ray Zone.
The filmmakers will be present at the screening and available for questions from
the audience.
In Aliens of the Deep, Academy Award winning director James Cameron
combines his talents as a filmmaker with his passion for exploration and 3D.
Shot on the Great Barrier Reef in Australia and in the Bahamas, Ocean
Wonderland 3D brings to you the amazing beauty of the many varieties of
coral and the immense diversity of the marine life thriving there.
