Please Note: The division and award categories changed last year!
1.
Only
members of the NSA are eligible to enter. Only stereoview cards and
non-projected formats are eligible.
2.
An Entry Form or reasonable facsimile containing name, address and
phone number must be submitted for each entry and received by July 9, 2005 by
mail or delivered in person at registration time. The title, division and number of views or
other format must also be included on the form.
3.
Members not delivering their entries in person must post them
along with payment for return shipping to: to

. They must arrive well-packed by July 9, 2005.
4. Those bringing their entries to the Convention can drop them off at registration.

NSA
will provide the method of display for stereoview cards (Holmes format) and the
display sleeves. Method of display for other formats is the responsibility of
the entrant. No more than 2 entries per
Division are allowed.
6.
For
the stereoview card format, no more than 12 or fewer than 8 stereoviews
constitute an entry. Views are expected
to be in the traditional 3” x 7” format.
Height can be taller, but limited to card format that will fit into a 5”
x 7” sleeve. A 5” x 7” typewritten
explanation card may be substituted for one of the views.
7.
There
are 3 Divisions. Modern stereoview
format (views photographed by the entrant), Vintage stereoview format (more
than 5 years old) and Other, for all other, non-projected stereo formats and
techniques.
MODERN STEREOVIEW CARDS
The entry must have a theme or
topic.
Both photographic and computer
generated images will be accepted.
The entry must have a theme or
present a story
Judged according to rarity,
presentation, and topic.
Originals must be provided for
judging, but you may provide high quality reproductions to be used for public
display.

presentation and impact

STEREOVIEW format entries will be shown in 5x7 glassine
sleeves, so entrant should supply 5x7 backing sheet for each of their cards –
design and color is entrant’s choice. Each
entry should be titled. (One of the 5x7 cards may be used to provide
information about the set.) Any
information germane to the view may be typed across the top of the backing
card. The NAME OF THE MAKER SHOULD
NOT BE INCLUDED ON THE BACKING CARDS OF THE MODERN VIEWS. (Photographers will
be identified after judging). Backing
cards are then placed in the sleeve behind the view. Each entry must be mailed or delivered
together with a separate attached paper identifying the Division, title of
entry and exhibitor’s name. Views will be exhibited, in sleeves, behind clear
plastic.
9.
OTHER STEREO FORMAT will be exhibited as appropriate to
the technology submitted.
10.
Ribbons
will be awarded within each Division for First, Second, and Third place. The
Tex Treadwell Award will be given to the Judge’s choice as “Best of Show”.
